Pheew! I have a few minutes to write down what’s going on and what happened lately. Life is perfect, no crazy dramas and everyone’s well.
My team won SW Champs held at Kitto Centre/YMCA, Plymouth – this is the highlight of the month so far. I am extremely proud of my team, how we battled on 2 staright days of constant explosive volleyball. Having stayed in Plymouth the night before the final day, we went out for cheeky drinks at the Barbican. This did not help our recovery but we had fun with a few volleyball peers that were out also. Come final day, we had a slow start but manage to win all our games in the Pool play (20 minute pool-plays) and clinch the number 1 spot. We had to play City of Bristol in the semis which were a strong team throughout the tourney – we won against them and advanced to the finals to play Yeovil Ladies. Nerves are evident in the first few minutes of the finals, we soldiered through and finish it in 2 straight sets (best of 3 final).
Our local rugby team made it to the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final in Twickenham on 28th may 2016. I made sure I was there since I was in the semi-final, I wouldn’t want to miss a momentous event. We shouted, screamed and supported our beloved Exeter Chiefs! Sadly, the boys did not lift the trophy that day. However, everyone is positive that they will be back next year. All the players are already looking forward to the next season and reaching the final once again. I get to meet some of the players after the match and snapped a few selfies – some are in my Instagram and Facebook.
I am still getting ready for my holiday, as of writing this there’s only 4 sleeps until I fly out to motherland. I cannot wait! My friends are excited so am I; we have planned to do plenty of things whilst I’m there. Since they are all in different parts of the country now, I’d have to meet them in separate occasions – more party for me! Yayyy!
Life got in the way in May, I hope that it will not happen in June so I can write more things on here.
